Class Structure

At ELI, each class runs for 1.5 hours and combines teaching, guided practice, and review. We emphasize regular review and use an IELTS-style approach to First Language English (FLE) for Second Language learners. Language Proficiency Test

ELI has created a 45-minute Language Proficiency Test for all news students from Year 4-9 to assess their English skills and determine the most suitable class level. The test combines elements of GL Assessment, Oxford Placement Test, and the IB curriculum to accurately identify strengths and areas for improvement.

After the test, parents receive a detailed report and our expert recommendations for academic growth, ensuring full clarity on their child’s current level and learning needs. Enrollment and scheduling for the test are simple and straightforward.
