Year 9 – Language Proficiency Test
A course created keeping Year 9 students in mind. The course focuses on helping students build their skills that they should know by Year 9. The standard is set using the Cambridge Secondary Checkpoints syllabus. We also encourage students to read for pleasure and have thus introduced books that will facilitate this.

All new students at ELI are required to take a 45-minute FREE Language Proficiency Test designed to assess their language skill and determine the most suitable class level. Our exam is a unique amalgamation of the GL Assessment, Oxford Placement Test, and elements of the IB curriculum—specially crafted to pinpoint your child’s strengths and areas for improvement.
Upon completion of each quiz, parents receive an email, along with our expert recommendations for academic growth. This ensures you have full clarity on your child’s current level and learning needs.
